Dance at Saint Peter’s — in collaboration with Saint Peter’s own Jack Anderson – is pleased to present Spiritual Dance by Female American Choreographers Festival. This series of spiritual dance works, to be presented during the Easter season masses, commemorates dance artists who have helped to develop liturgical dance in both our parish community and in America.
Andralyn Zayn of Deflying Fitness developed this class from a combination of gymnastics, dance, circus, martial arts, yoga, and pilates. Devoted to increasing your flexibility, this course goes very well in combination with yoga, dance, or any other cross training activity in which you stretch as a warm up to maintain your flexibility during the week. However, if you only have time for this class you will still notice a major difference in your flexibility by the end of the 9 week session. it is appropriate for all ages and flexibility levels- absolute beginner to contortionist!
Once a year we ask out friends, neighbors and patrons to make merry for a good cause. All proceeds go directly to eba community creative arts education programs. This includes scholarships for kids to study during the school year and attend creative arts summer camps; senior dance and healthy lifestyle programs for a reduced fee; arts in schools sharing the rich cultures of the world through Dance with children and teachers, outreach in community and senior centers; and unique dance programs for special needs populations. At eba we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to Dance regardless of their ability to pay or their special needs.
